Annual Carver Senior Citizens Luncheon

You are invited to the Annual Senior Lunch sponsored by the Carver Lions. Social at 11:30. Lunch at 12:00.

After lunch we will have time to socialize, have drawings for prizes and play some cards or dominoes, if you wish to stay for that.

You must call for a reservation so we know that you will be there. Call Lee Ostlie at 952-448-4743. Reservations are due by December 8.

Chaska Valley Family Theatre announces auditions for Meridith Wilson’s “Music Man”

Auditions will be held Wednesday and Thursday, November 7th and 8th 2012 at the Chanhassen High School, 2200 Lyman Blvd. Chanhassen. Callbacks will be Saturday, November 10th.

Children (ages under 14) should arrive between 5:30pm — 6:30pm either evening. Adults may arrive at 6:30pm either night. Vocal auditions will be followed by a simple dance audition. Please visit cvft.org/auditions/ for specific roles and information.

Performances of “The Music Man” are March 1st — 10th at Chanhassen High School Theater.

Carver City Council Candidate Forum

The Carver City Council Candidate Forum will be Tuesday, October 16 at the Church-by-the-River, 109 Main St., in Carver beginning at 7:00 p.m.

League of Women Voters of Eastern Carver County are hosting the forum in which
two Carver council seats at large are contested for this year’s election. Four candidates are seeking those seats. Incumbents Carrie Newhouse and Mike Webb are seeking re-election, with Dawn Kaufman and Jeff Houdek contesting those seats.
