Who do you want to nominate for the City of Carver’s Community Service Award in 2018?

The Carver Lions received the organization award in 2017.  The Carver Lions also volunteer countless hours in all kinds of ways within the City of Carver including hosting fundraisers, working with the Carver Fire Dept, and sponsoring many events like Trunk-or-Treat and so on within the City of Carver.

Nominations for 2018 are currently being accepted until November 15.  For more details and the nomination form, click HERE.

  • Youth (18 & Under)

  • Business or Organization

Spring Creek Drive Utilities Work on Schedule

Underground water and sewer piping work is progressing at the intersection of Jonathan Carver Parkway and Spring Creek Drive. The project is on schedule, with Spring Creek Drive expected to open on Monday, November 12. Thank you for your patience!

Street sweeping is one of the most cost-effective ways used to remove sediment, metals, petroleum products, trash, and vegetation that accumulates on streets, construction sites and parking lots.  If these toxins are not removed, they will make their way into the storm drains and into our streams and waterways.  Keeping the storm drains clear not only helps to mitigate water pollution but also reduces the likelihood of flooding during heavy rain. If you have any questions, contact dschwalbe@cityofcarver.com – Thank you!

John von Walter was presented with one of the City of Carver’s Community Service Awards in 2017. John has spent countless hours researching and preserving Carver’s history. He also serves on the Heritage Preservation Commission and works on community projects via Carver on the Minnesota.
