Storm drains are directly connected to nearby lakes, rivers and ponds. Water flowing into storm drains can carry with it anything dumped nearby including leaves, grass clippings, soil, oil, paint and chemicals.

The City of Carver is pleased to announce the creation of the “Carver Community Service Awards”. (Read more…)

These awards are meant to recognize the time, support, service, and dedication that individuals and organizations have given unselfishly to the City of Carver. It is important to acknowledge the hard work of citizens that truly make a difference in our community.

Three awards are presented each year and include the following:

  • Youth (18 & Under)
  • Individual
  • Business or Organization

Community service can include volunteering time, effort, expertise, or other resources. All citizens, organizations, and businesses within Carver are eligible. If you know of a person, business, or organization that deserves a Carver Community Service Award please fill out a nomination form at City Hall or by clicking HERE.

Nominations are accepted until November 1 of each year, with nominations reviewed by the Mayor, one City Council Member, and staff. Carver Community Service Award winners will receive a plaque and be recognized in City publications for their achievement.

Completed forms should be dropped off at City Hall or e-mailed to [email protected] by November 1.

ABOUT

Join us for a workshop on the Minnesota River. You will build your knowledge of erosion and sediment pollution in your local streams and lakes, and the connection between this pollution and erosion impact local property values, community assets, recreation, transportation, and fisheries. You will leave the workshop with a better understanding of the impact to you community, and tools to reduce the pollution at its source.
