Today is Tornado Drill Day – Sirens Sounding at 1:45 p.m. and 6:45 p.m.
On Thursday, April 12 (Tornado Drill Day), the outdoor warning sirens will be activated two times – once at 1:45 PM for businesses, schools, and other facilitates to practice their plans, and again at 6:45 PM for late shifts and families in their homes. Please note that the NOAA weather radios will also sound for this simulated tornado warning.
In an emergency, sirens are used to alert citizens who are outdoors of an imminent hazard and prompt them to seek additional information on the threat.

City of Carver is seeking motivated candidates for seasonal Maintenance Worker positions in the Public Services Department. This seasonal position will perform maintenance duties at city parks, facilities, athletic fields, and various landscape locations throughout summer/fall. Duties include but not limited to: mowing and weed whipping, cleaning of park shelters, maintaining playground equipment for safety, attending to flowers and shrubs throughout the city, and other duties as assigned. Operate city vehicles and equipment. Must be 16 years of age or older to apply. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
