Thank you to the United States Postal workers for their annual food drive to benefit local food shelves. Last Saturday local postal workers picked up 6,192 pounds of food donated by caring people that went to the Bountiful Basket Food Shelf of Eastern Carver County, which serves individuals from Carver, Chanhassen, Chaska and Victoria. The Bountiful Basket is operated by volunteers and serves over 1,000 individuals monthly with nearly 25,000 pounds of food.
