Community Park Ice Rink – Open

The ice skating rink and warming house is open throughout the winter months and is available for public use during open hours –

Baseball and Softball Open House – Thursday, January 3, 2019 – 6:00-8:00 p.m.

The Carver County Youth Baseball/Softball Association (CCYBSA) will be hosting an Open House to share information regarding some exciting changes for the 2019 season.  All players from T-ball through 14U travel leagues will be affected by these changes.  Whether you are new to the Carver community or a returning family, please join the CCYBSA for this informational meeting.

This commission acts as an advisory body to the City Council on municipal heritage preservation matters. In addition, they are charged with the stewardship of the City of Carver’s heritage. They meet on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at City Council Chambers.

Building Inspector

The City of Carver (population 4,473) is seeking applications for the position of Building Inspector to join a creative and friendly team.  The City is looking for a self-motivated individual to work with the Community Development Department to ensure compliance with State and local regulations.

General Duties:

The Building Inspector will be responsible for reviewing construction plans, perform inspections, investigating complaints related to code violations, and assisting the building official as needed. The building inspector should be able to apply working knowledge of all state construction codes and city ordinance to ensure code compliance.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of one post-secondary technical course in building, mechanical, and/or plumbing inspection.
  • Certification through the Department of Labor and Industry as a building official limited or ability to obtain with six months of employment.
  • Valid Minnesota driver’s license with a good driving record.

Congratulations to the Carver Fire Relief Association – Community Service Award Recipients!

Congratulations to the Carver Fire Relief Association, recipients of the 2018 Community Service Award.  The Carver City Council recognized the Carver Fire Relief Association for their time, support, and services that they have shared to truly make a difference in the City of Carver.  Their contributions to the community include hosting of the annual Open House and Bike Rodeo events, their volunteerism at all the local community events, and their efforts to lead fire prevention talks with the local schools.
