They say you should live like there’s no tomorrow, and once a year, that comes the closest it can to being possible. Dec. 21 marks the winter solstice: the shortest day of the year.

Dec. 21, 1967: Chaska Rotarians and guests got the lowdown on the Minnesota Muskies, the state’s new professional basketball team at Monday’s noon luncheon at the Green Lantern Cafe. Bob Fowler, a member of the Muskies public relations staff, was Monday’s luncheon guest. The Minnesota Muskies are one of 11 teams in the newly formed ABA (American Basketball Association).
