Election judges (poll workers) are paid officials who staff local polling places, carry out election procedures, and make sure that the rights of voters are protected. During a general election, there are more than 30,000 election judges who staff more than 4,100 precincts. Serving as an election judge is a chance to learn about elections, and is a great service to the community. New Monthly Sewer Charge Effective May 1, 2016
REMINDER FROM THE UTILITY BILLING DEPARTMENT: The May 1, 2016, bill will have the new monthly sewer charge. They will be adjusted to reflect the average water usage for January, February, and March.
County Road 11 & 6th Street – City Of Carver
This project includes work at the intersection of 6th Street and County Road 11. Improvements include additional turn lanes, roadway widening, storm sewer, and grading. Motorists near Carver will encounter lane closures at Carver County 11 and 6th street starting on Monday, April 4, 2016. (Read more…) Watch the signs for current dates.
County Highway 11 lanes will also be altered slightly near the intersection of 6th Street as construction crews widen the roadway and add additional lanes. Motorist can expect narrow lanes through the construction site. No road closures on Co. Rd. 11 are expected.

Street Sweeping to Begin Thursday Morning – March 17
Residents should remove their vehicles and trailers from the street during this time.
Street sweeping is one of the most cost effective ways used to remove sediment, metals, petroleum products, trash, and vegetation which accumulate on streets. (Read more…) An effective program is important for removing debris from roadsides and gutters which could ultimately end up in the storm drains. Keeping the storm drains clear not only helps to mitigate water pollution pollution, but also reduces the likelihood of flooding during heavy rain.
