Enel Green Power North America (EGPNA) has started operations of its 150 MWdc Aurora solar photovoltaic (PV) plant in Minnesota. This 16-site plant includes a location in West Waconia.

Invites you learn about our neighbor, the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge and Rapids Lake Education and Visitor Center.
On Wednesday January 13th at 7 pm at the Church by the River in Carver Todd Smith, the Visitor Services Manager at the Wildlife Refuge and Rapids Lake Visitor Center, will tell us about the Wildlife Refuge and Visitor Center and how we can utilize them. He will also answer any questions we have.
This is a free event, with refreshments provided.

Through a long process the City of Carver became the first in the state to be allowed historic district directional signage on a major freeway by the Minnesota Dept. of Transportation.

A former city of Carver employee has filed a federal lawsuit contending he was illegally disciplined and later fired because of his disabilities
Don’t forget to vote in the primary today at the gymnasium next to City Hall at 316 Broadway. The polls will be open from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm.
Reported by the Chaska Herald – Fleet Farm constructions is going faster than expected due to the dry and mild weather. The new anticipated grand opening of the store, gas station, and car wash is July 10th!
The Minnesota River segment begins at 7:10.
The new year will bring city of Carver residents a 8.56 percent increase in the city property tax rate and no increase in utility rates.
The City Council voted unanimously Monday to adopt a $2,239,332 budget for city government operations and repaying debts in 2012 and a $1,870,647 property tax levy to pay most of those expenses.

The Carver City Council wants the city to own the old Main Street railroad bridge and later figure out what to do with it.
Councilors voted unanimously Dec. 5 to accept donation of the bridge from Omaha Track Materials LLC, which acquired the bridge from Union Pacific Railroad Company.
