The bicyclist who was injured, and later died, following an Aug. 31 crash with a vehicle in Carver County has been identified as John Robert Dyste, 66. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner released Dyste’s name Sept. 17. 
Cross Country: Isabella Roemer wins at Eden Prairie’s Metro Invite
Isabella Roemer and Marissa Long were ahead of the field, running times of 18:33.1 and 18:39.2 for Chanhassen in placing first and second overall at the Metro Invitational at Eden Prairie’s Round Lake Park Sept. 18.

Minnetonka swept the top spot in all three relays, the Skippers claiming the Maroon and Gold Invitational with 661 1/2 points on Sept. 18 at the University of Minnesota. 
Road renamed to honor veterans of war on terror
Carver County has dedicated a portion of Powers Boulevard, between Highway 5 and Pioneer Trail, to the veterans of the Global War on Terror and their families, in honor of the 20th anniversary of the attacks on Sept. 11, 2001.

Colton Juell, Chaska High School class of 2017, has graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Minnesota with a bachelor’s of science degree in chemistry and a minor in aerospace studies.
