Class B State Baseball: Chanhassen, Miesville to play for championship

John Straka figured his night was done. A pair of one-out hits in the ninth inning put the tying runs on base in a 3-1 game on Friday, Sept. 3, in the Class B winners bracket final in Hamburg.

Saturday Class C Baseball: No-hitter sends Watkins to quarterfinals; Waconia advances

Waconia felt right at home in front of a large Friday night crowd in Chaska, breaking open a third round game with Luxemburg with a five-run seventh inning in a 9-2 victory Sept. 3 at Athletic Park.

A chance to retake the lead sailing just wide, Chaska saw Shakopee just minutes later finish a corner kick opportunity for the eventual game-winning goal in a 2-1 girls soccer decision Sept. 2 at Chaska Middle School West.

Tuesday Roundup: Chanhassen swim/dive team wins season opener meet

Three Chanhassen swimmers – Zoe Thoma, Anna Schottler and Avery Luedtke — each won two individual events as the Storm opened the 2021 girls swimming and diving season with a 134-49 win over St. Louis Park.
