Shutterfly retrenching after dive in profits; Shakopee plant laying off 14

Image publishing service Shutterfly, which has a plant in Shakopee, this week reported a 30.6 percent fall in profits for the last quarter of 2016 and said it will be closing its Santa Clara, Calif., and New York offices.

Holy Family Catholic entered Thursday’s road contest at Lakeville North with a nine-game unbeaten streak. Ironically it was a 1-1 tie with the Panthers in the Sports Authority Classic that started it all.

Plea agreement reached in Eden Prairie murder case

Eden Prairie’s Yevgeniy Savenok pleaded guilty to two counts of intentional second-degree murder in Hennepin County District Court Feb. 2 in connection with the May 14, 2016, stabbing deaths of his pregnant wife and her unborn son.
