Scouting Series – August 17 and 18

Calling all scouts (Boy and Girl Scouts are welcome)!  Are you looking for a way to earn those merit badges?   This outing may meet some of your requirements.  Join us for the hands-on, two-day series covering geocaching, archery, and a canoe river trip!   Geocaching instruction includes using GPS navigation to find the hidden caches along trails and open areas.  Archery includes experiential learning, including range safety and proper techniques for stance, aim, and release to become consistent archers.   Although this course is geared towards scouting, you do not need to be a scout to sign up for this course, everyone is welcome to learn.   Participants should come prepared for the weather and bring a snack.   All other necessary equipment will be provided.
Ages 8 to 17.
Thursday, August 17 and Friday, August 18, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
We request that one chaperone from each troop assist as you’re able for the river trip on Friday, August 18.
