Wuflestad, Hodgins win state club titles

Just missing a Minnesota Senior Short Course State title in the 100-yard backstroke, Josh Wuflestad, senior at Chaska High School, earned that win on the final of four days of competition March 18 for the WEST Express Club team.

Gersich signs pro contract with Capitals

The Washington Capitals signed Chaska native Shane Gersich to a two-year entry-level contract beginning this season. Gersich’s contract will carry an average annual value of $925,000 and he reported to the Capitals last Saturday.

Kallman, Northern State second in Division II

It came down to the final play of the game, as the No. 6 Northern State University men’s basketball finished the 2017-18 season as the NCAA National Finalist, falling to Ferris State 71-69 in the Division II national championship.
