Mills Fleet Farm And Carver Water Tower
The Chaska Herald has published the latest news on the status of Mills Fleet Farm:
The next step is for the city to request and receive bids from contractors for building a four-lane divided entrance road and making other public improvements approaching the site. City Engineer Dan Boyum said the target date for opening bids is May 26.
The city is also planning on refinishing the old Carver water tower.
The City Council voted unanimously this month to accept bids today (April 28) for interior coating, exterior painting and repairs to the 100,000-gallon water tower at 1765 Mount Hope Roa

East Union’s Plant & Bake Sale
Benefit for Galles Family
The Galles family lost their home to fire in February, and credit their lives to their dog Lily who woke them to the fire. The story was covered in the February issue of Villager Tower.
There is a benefit at West Union Church for the Galles family on May 21st from 3pm to 7pm. Spaghetti and Sloppy Jo’s will be served for $10/adult and $5/child. Additionally, there will be a silent auction and bake sale.

The next City Council meeting is Monday, April 18th. The meeting will include a public information hearing on the proposed Dog & Cat Ordinance, Kennel Ordinance, and Dangerous Dog Ordinance.

West Union Community Gardens
Community garden plots are available this year at West Union Church on the intersection of County Road 50 and Market Avenue.
The cost is $15 for a 15′ by 30′ space, and there is a perimeter fence for rabbits.
Water and porta-potty available on site.
